Objectives

International Society of Diplomats (ISD) Chartered membership are professionals who have achieved a high level of expertise and competence in their profession, especially in the field of diplomacy and have been inducted into the College of Diplomatic Studies and International Relations (CDSIR) or similar Institutions as Fellows.

To be actively involved in Peace work, negotiation and alternative dispute resolution in conjunction with relevant Authorities and Agencies

To promote diplomacy as a profession by encouraging young people from the grassroot to embrace it as a course of study by establishing young diplomats club in schools

To offer necessary orientation in diplomacy and international relations to our members, corporate organizations and government agencies

To organize conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums and other training to promote diplomacy at all levels of human endeavors

To promote tourism and attract trade and investments for the benefits of its members and other members of the public

To participate in the promotion of various aspect of diplomacy with well-trained individuals, to be used for the execution of emergency task affecting the general public

Sovereign States from all Continents of the World Inter-Governmental Organizations Non-governmental Organizations Individuals Sovereign States: These refer to a sovereign Nation, having identified with the core mandates of ISD and having signed a partnership or Cooperation Agreement “Treaty” with the ISD. Inter-governmental Organizations: These are International Organizations that are operating around the world and have been able to identify with ISD Mandates and signed Cooperation Agreement with the International Representative(s) of ISD. Non-governmental Organizations: These are organizations owned and run by private individuals who are delirious to either partner or Affiliated with ISD for the execution of its Core Mandates. Individuals: These are retired career and non-career Diplomats or Students who are interested in pursuing diplomacy as a career. Such members are appointed and sent to various nations as Special Envoys, Special Emissaries to promote and execute ISD mandates in the specialized sectors in various categories of diplomacy, including Politics, Economy, Security, Health, Technology, Education, Environment, Human Rights, Youth and Gender Issues, Agriculture and Food Security.
